Evening all,
I'm really struggling today with my energy. I had an online conference this morning and because we were just sat listening and note taking I could feel myself yawning every few minutes and towards the end my eyelids were so heavy, and after that it's just gone downhill 🙈. The afternoon passed pretty quick thankfully although we had a boring meeting to end the day with. I was well and truly ready for home at 5.
Made dinner as soon as I got in - leftover nut roasts from Xmas, mash and veg, and showered afterwards so I was ready to flake on the sofa by 6 🤣. At least I was productive before sitting down eh.
Need an early night tonight, see if I can catch up on sleep and some recuperating from the gym. My body is feeling the after effects from two sessions in a row I think. I have an early start tomorrow so deffo need some early sleep. I should really go to the gym again tomorrow but if I feel like this I will need to leave it another day. Everything feels fatigued…
My best friend's husband has gone back into hospital he's on end of life care now, I've told her to get some sleep and rest as she's been sat with him and not daring to sleep properly for months now. She is absolutely exhausted. Another friend at work lost her brother in law last night and the lady I sit next to lost her sister just this afternoon. I'm surrounded by bad news at the moment and lots of tears 😥 I find it really hard to maintain an equilibrium and try to remain composed when others are crying. I wanted to cry too even though I don't know these people. 🙈
Mortgage account app is showing the OP but the balance doesn't seem to have dropped much 🤔 I'll leave it till tomorrow and check again as sometimes it takes a day or so to catch up with itself properly. Not much to report on finance aside from some small spends in Mr T on essentials. Still waiting on CB to confirm and be ready for payout too. I've a few accounts I'm waiting for. I think I've given up with qu1dco now as one has been pending for one and a half years now. Yes you read that right. I'd avoid that company like the plague now...and haven't used them since they've ignored me messaging them and have done nothing.
Right off to make a hot drink and probably sleep shortly after.

I always have a rest day. At the gym on Sunday though I wanted to book to use the extra gym equipment they have and the only day they had any slots for induction was of course the very next day. As he showed me how to use everything I was doing the exercises 🤣🙈🙈🙈 hence two sessions in a row and me overly tired. I've just had my cacao and I'm off to bed very soon though am ready for a good sleep. 😴

I needed two rest days back to back last week. I was absolutely bone tired in the second rest day, felt more energetic the third day as well as slightly snotty, so I think I was probably battling a bug. You’ve been travelling recently so maybe it’s the same for you?

Afternoon all,
@KajiKita yes I've been blowing my nose all day 🙈🤔 so I really hope this is as bad as it gets as there seems to be another round of bugs at work and everyone is moaning of exhaustion 🙈. Don't think the gym two days on the bounce helped but I think you might be right in a bug...
@beanielou it really is 🤣🫠🙈.
Had an up and down day. I woke up so tired I wasn't really in the mood for fools today and yet I feel like I've come across one hourly. My ent appointment was cancelled 🤦🏻♀️ was pretty annoyed as it was super last minute and I thought what if I did that? I'd get a snotty letter in the post...
Anyway I got to work, bright and early and newbie was in the office before me. She was bright and cheerful and chatting to two colleagues....I had a quick chat with another on the way in and she turned to say hello. So I said it back even though my inner child was sticking up her middle finger (I know I'm childish 🤣). Anyway I popped off earlier than she did to get to our classroom as I wanted to have a quick word with tutor about the student I was with yesterday. I got a ping on the way down that the meeting we usually have at 8 that the room had been changed. So I told tutor as I was just about to her when I received it, and we went off together...well newbie was fifteen minutes late as she didn't get the ping clearly, along with the other office person who always comes along. Both looked flustered and had gone to the usual room. Anyhow, manager was not very happy this morning as targets hadn't been met and she knew it was because of changes in people doing the job etc etc (me and newbie) but can we try to make this new target now. Are we both up to speed. To which I could say yes and contribute. Newbie threw herself back in her chair again complaining of overwhelm, and unable to do it because of this that or the t'other, lack of training , support and whatever else 🙈 Is It mean of me- I wanted to laugh. She did this last time. It reminds me of my kids when they were over tired and 4. Anyhow she said she needed an office of her own which resulted in me hiding a giggle, I know how lacking in space we are, tutor raising eyebrows, manager also doing the same and going, what? She can't work in the office, nor the shared workspace we have elsewhere or the classroom it turns out 🙈. No reason given. She also said she wasn't feeling up to doing the job tomorrow that she has..... Anyway I left and had to laugh to myself a little. Had she started and actually used me as I offered...I'd have been able to help with all these things, training her, courses she's behind with and knowing where this that or the other is. 🤷🏻♀️ I feel the job is wrong for her and that really what she wanted was a nice office job somewhere sat behind a desk and able to just chat to people in between calls. As she seems at home in the office with the others.
I had an okay morning after that (not even 9 by this point 🤣) but my restful morning I'd planned turned into running here, there and everywhere to take pictures of buildings with a student 🥴 my foot is not thanking me now. The heel once again feels dislocated (thankfully know it's not from X ray but it moves around like it is). I then got what I considered a rather snotty email from someone who works with that student suggesting I helped them too much 🤦🏻♀️ I suggested perhaps next time could they be trained properly or left with a tick list because student didn't have a scooby doo what was going on and had I not offered suggestions she'd have done nothing.
Afternoon passed ok and I got to leave early…I didn't need to do the last meeting of the day 🙌🏻. Technically I left half hour early but I don't care. I spent an hour when I got home emailing people and setting things up for tomorrow so worked the time from home and then some.
I made DD another orthodontist appointment when I got in as it's for next Wednesday and DP is away and I'm working...DD told me off and had a strop and honestly by this point I was done with my day and stroppy people. I was pretty annoyed. I'd been on hold for fifteen minutes to call them and do it. And I went to pick her up after I'd got home and didn't even get a thank you. 😑 so done with people today.
I ordered another set of ear phones from prime, and also some cartons of single use oat milk to take to work. And my old set of earphones I'm taking upstairs for meditation. I get up there every night, remember I've left my earphones in my bag. Think about going down two sets of stairs, remember it's two sets back UP and then go nah. Hence my meditating falling by the way side. Hopefully this will solve that issue (they were £13 on prime I thought it was a bargain!)
I sent DP out to get diesel, and some drinks (non alcoholic - wishing it were alcohol now) as I know he gets cabin fever sometimes sat behind his desk all day..i think he actually misses his job he used to have driving about and having some time to himself in the car...so although it's only to Mr T I thought he'd enjoy that over me hobbling around doing it 🤣.
Need to book a sainsby delivery slot today really and make sure we get one for weekend....then I will stop for the day. Shower, and a bit of TV and reading before meditation and bed. What a life.
Oh and I got an early birthday present in the post, it was ordered from prime so I thought it was something I'd ordered and opened it. I thought the mug I received was very apt, it reads, if my mouth doesn't say it, my face will 🤪 that was me earlier 🤣.

Thursday afternoon, I slept better last night so had a bit of energy upon waking which makes a nice change. I've been on my feet all morning though so it's quickly diminishing and I've two more hours on my feet after lunch. Work was a little frustrating this morning but it's done now thankfully 🙈.
It's my birthday tomorrow and I'm not looking forward to it like I used to. I used to always enjoy counting down to the next age even up to recently, but nah, I'm feeling my age these days and don't look forward to the next phase (ache or pain 🙈👵🏻).
NSD so far and should be achievable as I don't need anything in particular. I forgot to order the SM shop to be delivered, I will try and do that later but it just completely slipped my mind last night. Hopefully there is a slot left!

Dfw hope you have a lovely birthday tomorrow (end of February birthdays are fab, mines is the next day so I know what I talking about 😆 ) and you get the whole weekend to continue enjoying it. I go into a new decade and whilst it doesn't seem possible I'm this ridiculous age I am conscious of friends that haven't made it out their 50s so am grateful to be here to celebrate. I hope you do end up enjoying yours even if you aren't looking forward to it today
