I'm suggesting this ...The tutor used to do my job but she's very busy with her own work and has already been very helpful so I don't want to keep asking questions 🫣.....is false economy. You need to know from the start what to do otherwise you are getting the wrong things into your head. Ask her, write it down, ask again to clarify and clarify your notes. Then you get a third time. Only after that are you becoming a pest lol. Thats the rules of a new job. The only people being annoying are those that ask and don't write anything down, ask again and don't write anything down, ask again and don't write anything down... you get the picture. I'm sure she'd rather you ask than waste everyone's time by doing it wrong and she has to explain what you did, how to unravel it and how to fix it.
Glad you had a good day today, and you get that every Friday! Yippee. Enjoy the days shes not in, and schedule as much as you can for the days she is in.
Now just got to work on tolerating miss lwl and ignoring the fact she doesn't talk much or want to be pals, some folk don't. You aren't her boss or underling, you know she's been told not to give you work so if she tries just say I'm not meant to be doing that, best speak to boss about it if you can't manage it and simply give it back to her or put it on her desk with a note.
The lights are a hard one. I had someone who marched in every morning to an office where I'd been working for about 3 hours and others for about 2 (flexi time) perfectly happily and yanked all the lights on. Loads of us hated those particular lights. Instead of individual lights above each desk they were long banks covering several desks in odd patterns so you were stuck with them flooding over your desk if someone else wanted them on. Sadly in that situation there's no halfway compromise. Someone wants them on, someone wants them off, then the person who wants them on generally wins as they need them on to see. So unless you can get your own desk lamp, when you are in the office put them on, if you are leaving turn them off ? (I never understood why they couldn't take things like that into account when allocating desks. That and windows were the bane of office working. Cold folk moaning about open windows, hot folk wanting them open, freezing cold folk wearing one layer of nylon blouse and expecting everyone else to sweat rather than them bringing a cardigan in winter etc etc 😆 🤣 I do not miss that aspect of an office!)
Oh, and please don't say you got to leave early - that implies you are getting away with something - you'd done your hours so you left. 😀
Wishing you restful weekend
Dxxxx

Thanks @daisy_1571 💖 the main office is not where we were sat most of Wednesday and Thursday. It's a kitchen area off the classroom so we can dip in and out as needed. Windows are tiny, no natural light really so very dark. Lights are needed unfortunately so we can see. I am wondering if LWL suffers migraine or something similar, I get It, but she's not communicating either way so hard to know. It's the sneaky way she goes about it. Not speaking to me then I leave to grab something from the office or classroom and come back and it's pitch black 🤦🏻♀️🤣 it was getting tiring and in the end I did say something along the lines of, it's too dark and how am I supposed to see the papers when there is no natural light (that was about the time she grabbed her stuff and stormed off to hide somewhere else) ... I'm past trying to be her friend. But we do need to collaborate. We have the same job and need to speak so 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ I don't know how to crack this one. I have passed my concerns on though so we'll see.

DD has signed up for an 0de0n pass and is off to the cinema tomorrow for the first time on her own! Had to document this rite of passage into independence 💖.
DP has left to collect an Indian. We are usually very constrained and share a main and side and rice but we've gone all out this time getting sides each and mains each as well as two rices 🤣 rock-'n'-roll eh 😃 might even have a G&T or glass of wine!

Gosh where has my day gone!
I had a good sleep last night which makes a lovely change. I meditated before sleep and managed to forget work for a few hours meaning I could sleep properly ☺️! I went to bed at 9:30 though, I gave in and listened to my body; which was absolutely exhausted.
DD went out last night for a work do, she's the baby of the work group and was umming and ahhing over whether to go, and what to wear etc. she decided to definitely go, and ended up in jeans and smart jumper. They were having an awards ceremony which was just a bit of fun and not official...silly awards made up by staff. DD won the resting b1t(h face award. She gets that from me. 🙈🤣 DP stayed up to get her and I found out this morning she didn't come home until midnight!! She'd left the house at 6:30. Someone in the group obviously bought the drinks as DD is 17. And I know what pubs are like for ID'ing everyone these days. Anyway at around midnight she decided she was done and wandered off down the high st on her own 🤦🏻♀️ she found a school friend who was off his face (so she says) so she bought him a cheeseburger... he'd asked for her to buy him an Uber 🤣 not sure a cheeseburger was really sufficient..I said next time please ring his mum and get her to collect him (his phone had died). Had I been there I'd have given him a lift home. I've had drunk 18yo son and friends wandering down before not remembering how to get home again 🙈. Anyhow she was okay. Home safe as poor DP had stayed up for collection.
This morning we dropped her at work and we went straight off to the gym. I did 3k 👏🏻 and at least five minutes was jogging 👏🏻👏🏻. Big improvement for me! We went to the sauna then home again. Shopping arrived early and we popped out to buy some bits on a shopping list that has been growing since before Christmas...new door mat, table cloth I can wipe clean, curtain pole & curtains, toilet seat, a rug for cold bit of floor, washing up bowl, paint, and a few other bits and pieces. I think I managed to get everything I needed (and perhaps a few extras 🙈!) DP and I treated ourselves to a cake and coffee/ tea in the shop cafe and had a nice mooch around.
Back home and DP has gone straight up to paint the room, we're working on the cinema room now (DS old room which will be freshly painted should he wish to return). We've got a nice curtain pole and (rug and some curtains to go in there already) and then we can move the excess furniture from the main living room - a sofa and footstool, meaning the big french window is bare again so I can see out into the garden. That will be nearly all rooms nicely refreshed then in the house...just ours to paint and we're going to just neutralise that one so quick and easy. Only thing left then is bathrooms.
I've moved all the money around and taken out the budget today's spends & then divvied up what's left. We are obviously off to Paris this coming month too so need spends for that so I've not actually sent anything out of my main account yet, I've put a few hundred into a sub account and I will need to see what we spend in Paris before moving money to savings. Next month will be better because we're receiving full new wages and no huge list of needs for the house from Xmas. DP bonus comes in end of march so I don't need to budget monthly for a holiday or patio because I can use that money to pay for those outright. Everything else will be budgeted for from next month. I am making an OP of at least £300 though when I get maintenance.
We had a knock on the door earlier and a man selling gutters and fascias was stood there. We thought this so weird as we literally were talking about the fact that job needs to be done asap yesterday (should have been done years ago) ...I think he'd driven up and down the road choosing the dodgiest looking gutters and cold calling 🤣🙈 which proved that we were right they do all need replacing. We're not sure if they have ever been replaced it all looks so old and wood is rotten on the fascias. So anyway he's doing us a quote. He was actually parked across the road and we think he knocked there first and got turned away - their gutters actually have plants growing through them to the point the gutter collapsed in one corner 🤣 so actually worse than ours lol. I think we should probably get a couple more quotes, but how's that for manifesting 🤣👏🏻.
DD doesn't need collecting until later as she's enjoying her new cinema pass. So in one weekend she's had her first night out in town (well the pub was actually down a quiet bit away from the city thank god but she did end up down the main bit when DP found her in mcds 🙄). And she's off to the cinema on her own. I never did that till I was in my 30s 🤣.
Right off to sort out the pile of washing, I can hear the WM on its final spin.

Forgot to update on DS2 situation (I think?) I've been messaging him every so often. Anyway after speaking to ex the other day I messaged him again and he responded. Just a courtesy response and very formal but it was a response nonetheless. He's responded to a few more messages since then too. Again nothing to write home about, hence why I probably forgot to update here. Not enough for me to feel like I've got to the bottom of what is going on with him ☹️ but it's a response so I'll keep trying. Slowly slowly...

I've just managed to catch up with your diary. I am glad the job is going well, even though the other lady is not making it smooth sailing. Also hopefully after a few weeks you will be more used to the hours.
I am glad DS2 is also at least sending responses to you. Maybe he is starting to realise that the grass is not always greener. But wise to go slow and steady.

I think communication opened up because ex rang and I asked him how he had the audacity to call me all excited about CM ending and his one still needing to be paid when he's blatantly been playing with DS emotions and that's why DS blocked me. A few hours later DS had unblocked me which says it all. My ex is a 'insert banned naughty mse word that get !!!!' and head after it.
