Have you checked the original flight times too, are they quite late on the outward journey and a morning flight for the return..? I've had this before for a Trip purchased through GroupOn, we essentially only had 2x full days at the resort2

To be honest that was one thing that was spotLilSmiler said:Have you checked the original flight times too, are they quite late on the outward journey and a morning flight for the return..? I've had this before for a Trip purchased through GroupOn, we essentially only had 2x full days at the resort
on. It was an early flight leaving and a fairly latest flight returning, getting the full
3 days.1 -
The choosing airports was about departure point ie your home airport so that's irrelevant.
The key is just what did the original ad say about where the flights were TO? If they said Milan then you're stuck with it. If nothing at all, then you have an argument to say flights to xyz holiday destination imply that it'll be a reasonably close major airport, else how far do you take it.. why not another country in Europe?2 -
No I don’t think that’s possible. Even if you had a case, using PayPal removes any protection you might have had by using a card. I also think using Wowcher breaks the direct link between you and the supplier which would be another barrier to any claim,Jsutherland7 said:Would there be anyway I could dispute the extra £218 via my bank? Raise a dispute of some kind? The Wowcher deal was paid via PayPal credit. And the extra unexpected payment for flights later that week was using my current account. (Hard earned savings)And ref the £218, you agreed to. Buyers remorse is not good enough for the bank to give you money back. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2 -
Do you drive? Car hire 3 days from Malpensa next May looks to be between £100-150 depending on provider.Jsutherland7 said:
Ive even thought about doing the travel from Milan to lake Garda but ive been quoted 1000euro for a private tax,
3 train changes. Each an hour a go. It just seems like hell for just a 3 day break.
Drive is between 2 or 3 hours depending on where you're staying. Might be a cost effective way to salvage what you've already paid for.2 -
It wont solve your problem but have you thought about hiring a car to get you there, Expedia have small cars showing (Corsa size) from £39 + £20 for the optional insurance (don't just go with the basic included) Pick up and drop off at the airport.
Google maps show it as a 2.5 hour drive but you would also have the car to drive around the area.

are there any requirements for driving in Italy compared to London,0 -
I wouldn't hold out too much hope.
I've just looked at the property location on Google maps and the details on companies house.
Yes you would need to check the Italian road rules etc. I don't know that area but there are roads that are for specific types of traffic at certain times of day. There are signs at the junctions but you then need to detour.
You could have a look for coach transport from the airport. Some do a really nice transfer service to tourist spots.
Probably best to ask on a well known travel site forum.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
