MCOL issue Damn broken .GOV ID service

Urgh! what a horrible pickle I am in. Regarding the MCOL acceptance, the MCOL service uses the .GOV ID service. My original .GOV ID was tied to an old mobile number, despite the 'Contact us if you cant sign in option' I have never received any support or email regarding this account .
Due to the urgent nature of my defence needing to be submitted, I created a new GOV ID , which I noted. I also have the MCOL number and acknowledged/accepted the claim.
However I am now trying to log in and am going around in circles. The .GOV ID service seems about as broken as the Digital ID promise:
Somehow I did not get or cannot remember the new ( second Gov ID password) , clicking reset password just gives me a confirmation code and takes me back to sign in page .
I think the problem may be that I have now two GOV ID's tied to one email .
My fear is now I will not be able to submit a defence because of this strange sign in page
Any help?

Yes thats quite common
Email the defence instead3 -
Email it with the usual header and footer we used a year ago. Sign & date it under a statement of truth. Save it as a PDF.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
