PCN Brighton and Hove while working delivery shift

Options
Hi, first time user here. I received a PCN while waiting outside dominos picking up a delivery as part of my delivery job. Parking warden stood by my car for a recorded seven minutes before giving a ticket- what would my best avenue of appeal be here and how should I go about it?

Hoping I can appeal that alighting goods takes more than seven minutes and they can allow that since less than ten minutes of observation seems really short.

Details can be provided if needed- Thank you everyone!

Appeal with proof of the delivery job. It is an exemption.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Unfortunately wasn't the case, appeal ended up denied. I can attach their response if it helps anyone else but am too busy and dont want to risk full price to go for a formal appeal  :(

The informal representation stage you just completed almost always ends up with a blanket templated rejections as councils know full well that people usually just pay.

The thing is, the formal representation stage is when a council employee who is actually more versed in the legislation surrounding decriminalised parking contraventions (and exemptions to them such as loading/unloading) will review your representation.  Making a delivery depending on the proximity of the location you made the delivery to, what you were delivering and that you took only as much time as was necessary will come into play.

Almost all councils extend the 50% discount after the formal representation stage if you get the challenge in within the discount window when they send you a notice to owner in the post.

The issue for you is the time elapsed waiting for the pizza.

You'd be best taking this to https://www.ftla.uk/civil-penalty-charge-notices-(councils-tfl-and-so-on)/ where you can get more tailored advice if you wish to further contest the penalty charge.
