How to find a GREAT hotel near me?

How would i find a lovely hotel for me and my hubbys 10th anniversary?

I need it to be NEARISH,so we done spend the precious time we have a baby-sitter for driving.
Is there a good website which has lots of customer reviews etc?
Or does anybody here know of anywhere? (bedfordshire area)

Many thanks
Claire

  • If you check Martin's info sheets on the main site for cheap hotels, then you'll be able to get a knock out place to stay for a reduced rate no sweat. It'll take a wee while to go through all the sites, but well worth it ... I've booked hotels three times in the past few months and each time it's been with a different site than the last time ... so it def pays to shop around!

    I use laterooms.com a lot.

Put in your town and it will list hotels, prices and distances.

The booking doesn't have to be late either.

Finding it hard to look through all of them.
Is there a site that has more specific search options?

I use Laterooms via quidco so you get even more of a bargain. From Bedfordshire you could do the Cotswolds, Stratford upon Avon just for starters...what's important, good food, entertainment, walks, a nice pub????

There is a nice hotel with a Spa just off the M40, it's quite a big hotel it's called Whittlebury Hall I have only been on business so not sure how romantic it is but it might be worth a look, the spa is lovely and It's not too far from where you are.

I live in Bedfordshire and would second Whittlebury Hall - its near Towcester, Northants. Beautiful Spa, lovely restaurant, nice grounds for walking.
