Best compact/ toploading machine

Looking at buying a new washing machine, but the space in the kitchen is limited
Can only go to 500mm wide so that means compact 3kg washing drums and toploading models
At the moment thinking about the Zanussi ZWC1300
would have gone for a Hoover HNT5146 toploader, but read that Zanussi is a more reliable brand when it comes to washing machines
Does anyone have either brand or any other recommendations?
