25 for 2025

It's that time again, as we face the end of one year and embark on a new. So if you're up for a challenge, feel free to join in.
You'll know how this goes if you've done any of the previous years, but for newbies the idea is you have a list of 25 goals that you do 25 times during the year or just a list of 25 goals to hit in 2025. Each one can be big or small, fun or serious, and the idea is something you can try and achieve throughout 2025 (I've yet to complete the full list any year, but hey it's progress not perfection!). The whole idea is it's fun and you (hopefully) reach the end of the year in a better position than when you started.
Original posts if you're looking for inspiration: 20 20s for 2020, 21 things, 21 times in 2021, 2022 New Year's Resolutions Thread, 23 for 2023 & 24 for 2024.
To join, post your list and remember to come back as much as you like to update your progress.
So whilst I procrastinate over my 24 for 2024! these are my current ideas for my list:

very sound advice. I am definitely up for the challenge and, having last year done 20 * 24 am going to stretch to 25 *25. So here are my thoughts and reasons, including tweaks from what I've learnt about myself. I've mixed ones that can be comfortably accomplished with ones that will be a bit of a stretch, keeping in mind money, carbon footprint and that I am still working full-time.For me, most are repeats of previous years but lowered my expectations on some, and removed others I absolutely hated doing, but these may change as I see other ideas come in 😂 so who's up for this year's challenge?
Ones I'm keeping and why: I have enjoyed the workout programmes (I have an online subscription) and this has ensured I've got my money's worth so will keep that one, also the litter picks with the dogs, an old fertiliser bag and my litter pickers (I try to collect 100 items each time so considered putting 2025 items but realise from experience having to keep a tally like that stresses me though I know it really works for others). Working in a university I have enjoyed going to others' lectures and this helps me prioritise over meetings so keeping that one
I continue to try to sort the house and did manage 24 sorting drawers / cupboards last year. I like your declutter / deep clean @tinkerbelluk so I going for the same. If I can have the whole house sorted by the end of 2025 I will be very happy!
From a previous year I'm re-adding donations to the food bank.
I love reading (last year was 24 fiction, 24 non-fiction) but aware I don't read many translations so am going to switch last year's non-fiction for that. and recognising that will be a stretch 'fiction' will be replaced with a less stretching but enjoyable challenge - revisiting 25 children's books
I love food but tend to what I know so 3 food ones - 25 different recipes from my pasta book, 25 ways of cooking eggs and 25 different types of fish
I'm adding a couple of fitness ones - I usually manage 10 - 15K steps a day but thought it would be a good challenge to do 25K steps in one day. I have a lovely member of staff of has introduced a weekly run Wednesday lunchtime so I have added in 25 runs to help me mentally to prioritise over work .
We have a lovely botanic gardens so I'm adding 25 visits but can include other botanic gardens
One of last year's non-fictions was about cemeteries so i'm adding 25 different graveyards, helped by being old enough to have a free bus pass.
I was going to add 25 plays but mum has given me a subscription for a year of online ballet / opera from Royal Covent Garden so going for 25 of those to make sure I get her money's worth ;-)
I've asked friends for suggestions so will be reading 25 different poems, watching 25 B&W films and watching 25 different sports (That one would have been so much easier during the Olympics ) Keeping financially aware, sports can be on tv or live. Last night was out with a friend who is wanting to work through some of the different malt whiskies at our local so think a dram every fortnight would be manageable both health wise and financially!
I've also added 25 makes - I was originally going to go for 25 origami makes but this will allow a bit more flexibility.
Mum gets a lovely magazine called 'simple things' and it always has a few suggestions for things to do that month so I'm adding 25 of those. If anyone wants to join me on that one I'm happy to post each month's suggestions. And for a bit of creative fun, 25 challenges with 'green' in the title.
Work is multicultural and we love to celebrate so I'm adding 25 celebrations - Chinese and Thai new year will definitely be on the list.
And I used to love entering competitions so I'm going to add that, and 25 family whatsapps as my last. Phew.

25 is a bit much for me, but I think I will try to cook 25 times this year. I usually cook once every couple of months (max), so this will be a big change!
A month with 25 NSDs is a tough call, but January might be the time to do it!No man is worth crawling on this earth.

If you only cook 25 times a year, what do you eat everyday? Genuine question.

When I do cook, it tends to be in bulk. Last week I made some 1600ml of soup, half went in the freezer and of the remaining 800ml there is still some in an airtight container in the fridge. I'm not a big eater and one meal a day does me, as long as I can drink tea and coffee to my hearts content.

couple of tweaks from me. I'm an avid reader but thinking 25 translated books as AND 25 children's books might be a bit much on top of my usual reading. Also my feet are in need of some tlc. So am replacing children's books with 25 foot soaks - I have found an mse recipe of course and also realising 25 different sports is ambitious - will save that for next Olympics (when it'll be 28). I'm very keen to get back to playing the piano so have replaced sports with 25 mins 25 times a month. Now I just have to work out a way of easily counting that!
