Why Is The Euro So Low

I see that the Euro fell against the GBP to 1.35 today!
What is the reason for the recent sharp drop.
It was only last year I was getting 1.44.

Thanks In Advance.

  • The Pound has fallen against the Euro.

Fluctuations, these things change. The US dollar is Very weak which is why we get a good deal on US$, and the pound is quite weak against the Euro atm.

I feel quite relieved as I bought loads of Euro Travellers' Cheques just before they started to fall in September.

It's simply supply and demand. If more people with euro want £ then the rate to buy £ goes up and vice versa :)
