Can anyone help me with this one before I send the template please - not sure what amount I should be stating.pootleflump said:The template mentions £70; is this because the fine is generally £100 but then £70 charged? My debt is £170 so do I leave the letter exactly as it is with £70 in there or should it say £170?0 -
What the letter says.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Your alleged debt is currently £170 , the template reply deals with the vat aspect on the so called £70 debt collection aspect, as well as the rest of the claim too, so overall its about the whole of the alleged debt, £100 by the parking company, their "client" on the LoC letterpootleflump said:

The £100 is not a fine, that word won't be on any paperwork or signs, its merely an invoice for the alleged breach of the parking contract on that private property
So £100 is the alleged breach sum
£70 is the so called debt collectors charge
The current total alleged in the letter is £170 ( the outstanding amount. )
Don't overthink this stage, just respond with the template response2 -
Can anyone help with this, please? It's holding me up from sending my email as I'm not sure what amount I should be putting.pootleflump said:The template mentions £70; is this because the fine is generally £100 but then £70 charged? I answered above. The letter is a template. You aren't meant to alter that bit.Coupon-mad said:What the letter says.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
