I have received multiple letters from P4 Parking in Scotland threatening court action

Options
Hi,

I'd very much apprecate any help provided. I have read the newbies thread and understand the email template, but I just wanted to double check if under current circumstances this is the correct action to take. I have multiple parking charges under P4 Parking for parking in a tesco car park, close to £900 in total fines. Should I just ignore these or send the email template? I have heard if you acknowledge the letters it can implicate you, so am a bit unsure.

On the original letters I realise they had a singular picture of my car in the park, but not one showing it coming in and when it left so surely they have no evidence of me going over the hour allocation?

    They are not fines.

The NEWBIES has specific advice if the vehicle is registered to a Scottish address, which is for the keeper to complain to the landowner (assuming the PCN was issued unfairly), and complain to the keeper's MP, all without identifying the driver.

    That's it.

Do however be careful because where multiple PCNs are concerned, the PPC may decide to bring a case in the Scottish courts. Perhaps the driver should work out why they got so many PCNs, and rethink their parking behaviour.

There is no keeper liability in Scotland, yet, so the keeper cannot be held liable. That will change soon, probably in the next year or so. This is thanks to your former Dear Leader who banged on about wanting independence from the rest of the UK, then decided to import a law from England and Wales that will allow someone who wasn't in the vehicle at the time of the alleged event to become liable.

You need to keep an eye out for when that change happens.

thank you for your reply, it's much appreciated. What does "TNC/CIS" mean? so there is no use in sending the email to them?
