My godson will be 18 this year. i didn't buy him any 'silver tat' when he was a baby (good job as his mum binned all the tarnished money boxes etc years ago) but I would like to get him something shiny and silver now - motorcycle tools - he is training to be a motorcycle mechanic.
Does anyone know where I can get good quality sets at reasonable prices?
Thanks in advance for your help.

If you want to buy any mechanic tools then buy them either snap-on or mac tools. snap-on have a lifetime warrenty mac have a limited lifetime warrenty but as long as you don't go useing tools for other uses you can make a claim.
If he is serious about becoming a mechanic he will apreciate a set of snapon screwdrivers more than a 200 peice toolbox of bargain basement carp.
You may be best asking him what he uses most and buy him that if its a socket set or set of screwdrivers or a hammer. As long as he looks after them they will last him his entire mechanic life even if he doesnt look after them the snap on warrenty is very good and slightly better than MAC. /yes they are expensive but when you consider he will buy a reasonable screwdriver for £5 in most places a snapon screwdriver will cost about £12-£16 if it snaps when being use it will be replaced, if the other one fails he buys another. They must be good go in any decent garrage and they are full of snapon tool chests filled with snap on tools. I do have a few screwdrivers pliers and cutters I don't need that many other tools as a PC engineer that snap on make0
