Hi Everyone…
I am looking to top up my pension contribution of the current tax year before the end of the tax year on 5 April.
My question is when are the tax rebates considered credited by HMRC.
I pay higher rate tax and the 20% is automatically credited by my provider but is it considered credited on the date of contribution? For example if I credit the account on 4 April is the contribution AND the tax refund considered to be on the 4 April for Tax purposes, since my provider shows pending for the tax rebate until it is cleared.

Yes, the whole gross contribution is treated as having been made at the time you pay the net contribution. The date the 20% tax relief is credited to your pension scheme doesn't really matter.2
