DCBL Letter

I received a letter from DCBL on behalf of VARS technology. It states I have failed to respond to previous letters and pay a fine. I have never received a fine on windscreen or by post or received a letter from DCBL until this one. Has anyone had any experience of dealing with either?

have you read the newbies thread at the top.

DCBL never ( usually ) go to court - but you must ensure you follow the steps in the thread.

You can also check to see if someone else has had similar experience - which car park was it?

DCB Limited or DCB Legal Limited?

The former can safely be ignored. The latter cannot.

Confirmed debt collectors letter. The '14 days' is the giveaway.

The fourth post of the NEWBIES thread explains exactly how to deal with debt collector's letters, but to summarise that post - ignore them.

I have received notice from yourselves on behalf of VARS technology. Issuing a fine from 11/10/23.

The letter states, unpaid fine and failure to respond to previous letters.

I am disputing this claim and not liable for payment for the following reasons :-

    * No ticket or fine has ever been received by myself, either on windscreen, post or by any other method.

    * I have not previously received a letter from DCBL.

    * You have provided no information of where the apparent offence took place.

    * You have provided no evidence, written or photographic.

    * The notice period from when the fine was apparently issued has now passed.

    That's the email I sent

The usual reason for receiving debt collector letters and no PCN is because your V5C is not up-to-date.  Is yours?  Don't guess - CHECK.

They are not fines, and no offence has been committed.

Debt collectors are powerless and can safely be ignored. The fourth post of the NEWBIES explains this.

This does not alter the fact that you should instigate Plan A, a complaint to the landowner and your MP, and then ignore everything from now on except a Letter of/before Claim or a court claim from the PPC.

Never, ever phone an unregulated private parking company, nor any of their agents, ever.
