  • I just got a letter from DRP regarding a Manchester Airport collection.

Naively I rang them enquiring about it, I don't believe I explicitly stated I was the driver but I do believe I implied it. I presume the calls are recorded and used as evidence? If not can I just ignore it?

    TIA

There's no evidence because there's no court claim. Relax!

It's just a matter of ignoring the threatograms … and if you get another PCN in future, come here first because you could have killed it on appeal.

If you never received the PCN then check the address on your V5C because that's a serious oversight, if it still has your old address.

  • Hi all, been reading through a lot of comments, I’m in the same boat as most, I managed to pick up 2 pcn’s at Manchester airport because first I went the wrong way and the second I completely forgot to pay by the time I’d got home and rushed off to work,

Stupidly I appealed the first one where I don’t stop saying I took the wrong turn etc so effectively admitted being the driver I think (don’t remember my exact words) the second I intend to use the advice and the template from the first page, if they don’t cancel the one I already appealed should I jus pay the fine as I’ve effectively told them I was driving and missed a turn?

    Thanks guys

Appeal the one you can with the template, ignore the other one (including the silly debt collector stage and letters) - nothing beyond that happens.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    You'll never pay these.

  • I've just received a letter from Trace debt recovery for £170 for an alleged unpaid drop off charge at Stansted exactly 1 year ago. I have received no previous communication from anyone about this. Do I still use the original wording in the first post, and who do I send it to, the debt collector or their 'client' APCOA?

    many thanks

Too late to appeal, so just ignore the harmless, yet irritating, silly letters from Trace. It will go no further. Trace cannot sue you, APCOA never do

Just ignore it but where did the PCN go?

We suspect you may have failed to update your V5C address a year or more ago…
