RAC - strange renewal document

Hi,

I managed to get £75 off my renewal last year by quoting the Green Flag rate.  This year I'm planning on changing to a Nationwide Flex Plus account anyway as the £13 per month cost is a big saving on my roadside and travel insurance combined.

But on my renewal document I was surprised to see "You may be able to get
the insurance cover you want at a better price if you shop around."

Shopping around has always meant looking at alternative providers to me!

Are they referring to some of the companies that give you cashback like Top Cashback?  I don't really trust those that suggest you might get the money back x months after you've purchased via them and multiple get out clauses....but I know friends that like them....

Anyhoo :)

I recall seeing similar wording, on an insurance policy renewal notice of my own, fairly recently.

Standard boiler plate stuff, to meet regulatory requirements, I'd guess.
