I'm getting really tied up in knots trying to work out the CGT on shares/stocks i sold in 2022/3 tax year. I am now retired and live off my small company pension and the annual disposal of stocks/shares.

I have the same problem each year as I try move funds from  Investment Portfolio into an ISA. Has anyone found an excel or google stye spread sheet with the necessary formulas to work out the 'pool' (average) price of shares/stocks when sold? The HMRC website tool kit just makes my eyes cross and gives me a headache.

HELP  :/

Found It - in my HL GIA account, when i click on any particular investment, there appears a 'weighted average price paid..' - guess that is the pooled cost of a section 104 holding. Not clear why i couldn't see that when  i needed to. But sadly  guaratee i'll have forgotten where to find it my next year. think i'll do my tax returns ealier this year. Now why of why couldn't HL told me that when i was getting tied up in knots filling in my self-assessment tax returns???
