Hi, I have recently received a letter from Compton Group about rent charge interest they have on my property and if I want to buy it out by paying £100. I have recently brought the property and this didn't come up during the purchase.

Is this legit? I have provided a copy of the letter to the solicitor and awaiting their response. Has anyone else got this letter too? I know others have received it but have a lease, however my property is a freehold.

Any help would be appreciated.
