Hi All. Please could some explain how to decipher the value of these shares.
They are written as:
Ordinary shares of 6 14/81p each number of shares 249
Ordinary shares of 12 204/473p each number of shares 109
I don't know what all the numbers etc refer to?

My guess for the first one is Centrica: 249 shares * 144.95p = £360.93
The second is National Grid: 109 shares * 1073p = £1169.57
Without wanting to really get into it too far, you don't need to worry about the 'of 6p each,' that's just the base amount they've been issued for and the minimum price they can be issued for.
