Hi all,

I’ll soon be looking to paint my skirtings and architraves.

Already got some standard 1”, 1.5” and 2” brushes… but not the best by any measure. Just Harris from Screwfix.

Got some sash brushes, too. 15mm, 18mm, 21mm. Been great for painting some MDF alcove units I’ve been working on.

Thinking of investing in a decent brush. One that’ll hold a good amount of paint, reduce stroke lines, won’t loose bristles, etc.

Any size suggestions? Any brand suggestions (Wooster, Purdy, etc)? Any “type” of brush suggestions (e.g. angled)?

For what it’s worth, architraves are the standard 69mm. And I believe the skirtings are 120mm, or thereabouts. All pre-primed MDF.

Will be painting with water-based eggshell.

Thanks!
