School Bus Pick Up Outside House Causing Some Issues

We have a group of kids who get picked up outside our house. Early teenage years.
Every morning they're on our drive chasing each other round the car which has been scratched.
This morning I heard glass breaking and came out to find the wing mirror glass on the driveway. I didn't see who did it and I don't have CCTV.

They have previously damaged the wall by kicking it for no reason I can see other than boredom waiting for the bus: One brick is now loose but despite me asking them nicely they won't stop climbing on it and running across it. I'm concerned they might get hurt but I can't fork out for repairs if they're going to do the same again. There's no signage or written designation of the bus stop being there.  It makes me very anxious to go and ask them to stop and move back onto the pavement. Literally getting heart palpitations. As we're on a sloped drive gates wouldn't work very well.

Is it a normal bus service or one that is organised by the school? Would you be able to work out what school it is?

We had an issue of school kids gather before school to eat breakfast fast food from a local supermarket at the corner of our street. They just dumped all their waste where they stood. We approached the school and the local supermarket and together they agreed to put a bin at that location (the supermarket ) and the the Duke of Edinburgh students would empty it once a week. To our amazement the kids put all their rubbish in the bin and it is emptied weekly. Problem solved.

So maybe approach the school/bus company to find a solution..... Good luck as i know it can be very tricky with as problem like that.

If you know or could identify the school, contact the headteacher and report the unruly behaviour and suspected damage.  Let them know you will be contacting the police if this continues.

This is the key bit - regardless of whether it is a school organised bus or a normal service, schools should take the behaviour of the kids seriously.

If its NOT a "norma"l bus service though it should be much easier to find out who has been tendered to run the service and maybe organise the pickup somewhere else, but the school still needs to be spoken to.
Much harder to move stops for "normal "services.

I'm fairly sure it's not a normal Bus service. We live in a semi-rural area and it's a private coach company that pick up and transport.

    Do you know which school?

Thats your first port of call.

In the meantime, go and stand on your doorstep 20 minutes before they depart for the next few mornings until this is sorted, if they see someone there they arent going to act the same.

You can get rising hinges to deal with a sloped driveway or get a sliding gate if your frontage is wide enough.

If the wall is low enough that they are easily getting up on it to walk along then nothing is going to stop them but at least it can be a deterrent for the more casual wanderer.

A friend had a wall next to a regular bus stop that was just a sign on a pole so had lots of people (kids and older) sitting on their wall and leaving their rubbish etc. They put "decoration" on the top of the wall of more bricks at a 45 degree angle which resulted in it no longer being a flat surface to comfortably sit and raised the height 2" or so making it slightly more difficult to get up. Stoped 99% of the sitting and reduced the rubbish by 75%

Just called the school said they will have a chat to the kids.
Also tried the council who the bus company say decide where pickups occur.

Recently had to replace mirror glass on my vehicle and used phoenix wing mirrors, who I believe are based in Worthing.Very easy to use site and match mirror glass to your model of car, price was excellent and next day delivery.
Trying to buy part old fashioned way was very expensive in comparison.
