Wyndham Halcyon Retreat Golf and Spa - Scam

I was considering investing in their properties, but I had a strong suspicion that it's a major scam. They aggressively pushed for purchases, not through the regular channels, but via an LLC in the UK. I went on a two-day trip and had to pay an upfront fee of $2500, which they claimed was refundable, but I never received a refund. Has anyone else had any experience with them?

I also discovered their financials to be quite discouraging, with only £2900 in the bank and total assets of just £5.

Being of a certain age and demographic I get lots of "offers" via email and in the post. I could eat out regularly at local restaurants while someone tries to "educate" me about retirement income, time shares or real estate. All the invites go straight in the bin. I would advise you do the same and if you've been burned, take it as a lesson learned.0
