    502 is a server error.
They happen because a particular server can't be contacted for some reason.
A fault, a power cut somewhere, planned/unplanned maintenance, somebody clicked the wrong button and took the server offline, maybe just too many people are trying to contact it at the same time? (and of course possibly a DDoS, or posibly a malware block).
They are usually short lived as the techs notice the outage and get it fixed, although sometimes if the server has failed altogether a replacement has to be put in it's place which can take much longer to setup.
Usually just trying again an hour or so later is all that is needed, I've just pulled up B&W here with no connection problem.
EDIT - Correction, there is a 'Kunnena' error showing. (Kunnena is the software that the B&W forum runs on).
That may, or may not, be because of an earlier server outage and Kunnena hasn't restarted properly?

Yes, I'm the same as usual, hope you are OK.
TBH I don't go to B&W much, I disagree with their subscription approach to giving/getting advice. (Which you can get for free elsewhere).
I was a bit surprised when visiting just then to notice that they have 'opening hours' on their forum, I never noticed that before, what kind of online forum has 'opening hours'?
Particularly only open 3 hours a day, only on weekdays, and only for subscribers - that's a paid-for advice business not a forum.

Hi, yeah not bad, I believe that you can view comment on news 24/7 but the forum restricts the main posts but a lot of direct messages because you see who is on like Yourable but they quickly remove anything software I don't know. It will be needed soon by many but people
Still advise people in various comments. I mean look at the time and people that you've helped thousands and the people who don't interact but read.

I am a member of Benefits and Work and was unable to access the website. I emailed them and got a response late  last night. The problem is at their end and they are working hard to rectify the issue.

They moderate all the posts so only correct information is published unlike a lot of other sites which are full of "expert" opinions.  The subscription is for access to their guides which are well worth the investment of £20 in my opinion.

Hi, So you can't login to the site but can view it?
It was down several hours but appears to be ok now.

There are some extremely knowledgeable forumites here. If anyone gives misleading advice/information then usually one of the more knowledgeable members will correct it.

The membership may only be £20 but not everyone can spare that amount of money, especially in these very difficult times.

If you subscribe to the monthly B&W newsletter it usually contains a code that gives 20% off the B&W subscription price, effectively reducing the subscription price from £19.99 to £15.99 for one year's membership.
