Partial transfer - old or new money

If I do a partial transfer out of a Flexible ISA, does it get taken from old money from previous tax years, keeping current year subscriptions intact?

It is for you to specify on the transfer form whether the transfer should include current year subscriptions or not.

    Cheers.

I've got the YBS Loyalty 6 Flexible ISA with a mixture of old and new money in it. I've got a few Regular Savers maturing soon, so that'll bump the new money up to £20k which means the interest on the amount above £20k goes down to 4.2%, so was considering transferring the old money (£5k) out.

Which version of the YBS Loyalty Six Access ISA do you have?

Only the original Loyalty Six Access Saver ISA is paying 4.2%, and that is paid on all balances.
The most recent one, the Loyalty Six Access Saver ISA Issue 3 (or Issue 2 of the E-ISA), pays 5.2% on balances up to £20,000, and then 4.7% on amount in excess of £20,000.

Although clearly it's not as good as the rate on the first £20,000, the rate of 4.7% on balances above that is still likely to be better than you will be able to find elsewhere with another similar access account (although notice accounts and fixed rate accounts would pay more).
  • Issue 2. You're right, its 4.7% above £20k
