Hi all

Hope this is in the right place.  I got sued by a cowboy private parking firm but, when I attended the hearing at my local County Court on 2 Aug and the Judge found out they had screwed up by telling the court they weren't attending in person but not telling me, the claim was struck out. What was also discussed at the hearing and, I thought, agreed, was that I would also be entitled to compensation for my travel costs (2 x £1.75) and £70 for ½ day’s salary as I’d had to take ½ a day of leave from work.

I received an Order in the post confirming that the Claim has been struck out - yet it contains no mention of the ££ compensation.

I received the Order in the post about 10 days ago and was then away from home for a week so was expecting something separate to arrive relating to the compensation – but it has not.

Is this normal?

Mark

Might be better in parking section where they have more experience of these situations.
