What IKEA cupboards are these?

Cupboards in our utility were fitted by previous owner. A set of the sliding doors were never smooth sliding so want to adjust. Haven't been able to see what needs adjusting so want to check the manual for how it was put together.

Only one sticker on the units with 2009 date: AA-480737-1. This points to a range called Pax but no reference to sliding doors.

Units are about 2.3metres in height with two sliding doors 76.5cm wide each in white gloss. Aluminium trims.

Can anyone identify the sliding doors?

PAX is their wardrobe range.   The doors will all have their own names but they are made for PAX. Whatever door it is probably isn't made any more, Ikea change their doors fairly regularly.

If you wanted to replace the doors, that would be easy as everything PAX is all sold separately as individual items.  Whether the mechanism now is the same as it was in 2009, I don't know.  You should probably check with customer services, but the sliding mechanisms come with the doors, not the frames.

We did used to have the same mechanism and the doors used to rub and bang together.  We had to fix things a few times, it certainly wasn't a sophisticated system back then.

You could also just put regular 500mm doors on them.

  • The sticker that identifies which range the doors are from may be on one of the inside corners, if it's still there. Once they're all assembled it's not the easiest to see.

Taking a guess, Hasvik might be the closest in their current ranges.

  • Thanks for the replies. With a bit more trial and error, I've managed to adjust the sliding doors. Not 100% sure what did it to be honest but I'll take it.
