i utilise my pension funds to trade various ETFs, predominantly japan, FTSE 250 and global trackers.
Have traded Shares on and off over the years and been part of share buys through work. Have started accumulating Lloyd’s for the long term (possibly 10 to 15 years). Dividend payment this year was good and is forecast at 3.1p for next year potentially providing a 7.2% yield on my average share price. Been topping up where I can around the 42p mark. I’m aware that Lloyd’s has little exposure to overseas markets and this is a downside plus potential for further bad debts written off in 2024. Any thoughts on upside?

Any thoughts on upside?Rather than banks, if I wanted to own individual shares in financial companies to earn a good yield I'd look towards insurers like Aviva, L&G and Aegon (Dutch).3 -
I inherited a couple of thousand from my late father but don't trade them. I'll probably get rid of them if they go back above 50p.1
