Window seals and where to get the right one

Exasperated, we have one lovely window woman, huge admiration for her but it's been 6 weeks now since I asked if she would do it. Got a couple of calls when I was out of range, no message, rang back frequently.

As suggested I got some of the crumbling seals out of a window. The size and shape is specific, probably available but I don't know how to describe it and need somewhere that will take a sample from me and supply the same or other that will fit.
I have asked locally - they gave me a company name that came top of google but now doesn't.

I need to get this in as I'm due in hospital in a couple of months and the heating isn't working. Another guy who said he'd do it back in March, rang May he said ring July and now no answer. Got better jobs maybe, in hospital, deceased I don't know.

Would really like to be able to get this stuff and get at least one job done.

I've got 4 major jobs and only one sorted for a date. I'm at my wits end.

I struggling to follow your post, but sounds like you are having issues with tradespeople coming to quote, then getting back to you, then actually doing the work.
There is no magic formula unfortunately.
You just need to keep trying local businesses. Ask locally for recommendations. Keep trying.

If you have a small piece that has been removed from the frame, could you manage to take a clear photo of it next to a ruler - Need to see the cross section, and we (someone) might be able to point you to a supplier.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

I'll try Freebear. The darn thing is tiny and of course squished.
Will have to be this afternoon.
I meant to look at that thread first but forgot. And thought the only woman that does these was getting back to me.

Sorry Prams, didn't realise it was such a rant  :)  but it is exasperating when you are in a hole trying to climb out and keep getting pushed back in.

Ok so this is the best I can do. It's not the easiest thing to photograph and couldn't do it with a ruler - the black just became a blob from that angle.
The widest part that is the outside seal is 8mm wide
The widest part of the house shaped bit that fits into the window grove to secure is 6mm at the widest part
The depth from front to pointy bit is 6mm.

The window lady did phone back again, unfortunately again at the time I said I would be unable to take a call and no message - but it gives me hope, sort of.

Now it;s up on this post I may try another search
I can also try seals direct as Adam mentioned. I have a sneaky feeling that our local double glazers gave me that company name.

on eBay you'll find many types sold. If you aren't certain what you've got, some sellers have a selection pack of samples for a few quid
