Does new flooring have to be fire resistant?

Hi,
I've bought some hardwood flooring for me bedrooms to replace the existing carpet.
I friend mentioned that maybe I should have chosen a fire resistant model.
The company that I bought it from doesn't mention anything in this respect, even though they have a fire resistant product line, that doesn't include my model.

Is there a legal requirement to install a fire resistant model when replacing flooring?

If it were a requirement that flooring had to be fire resistant, you wouldn't be able to buy carpets or rugs.

Presumably they can come at different levels of fire resistance, just like sofas these days have to be resistant- if you put your mind to it they still burn it just takes a bit longer…
