Received a parking charge from UKPC for parking in a disabled space while not displaying a valid disabled parking badge (I have a valid badge). I assumed it had slid or blown off so said this in initial appeal and sent photos of my disabled parking badge.
Spoke to mate who was with me. He said badge was definitely on dash as we had discussed it's expiry date. Looked at further photos on UKPC website, zoomed in and can see badge on dashboard, although not clearly, I know that's what it is. Today received email from UKPC telling me they will reduce charge to £20.
Do I pay the £20 and learn to more prominently display badge in future? Appeal to POPLA and risk losing? Appeal and ignore decision if it doesn't go my way? Try to contact land owner?
Something else? Cheers - Richard

Up to you. UKPC do sue.If you go all the way to court then you'd win and pay nothing. But that's a few hours' work here.
It's down to whether this is a matter of principle to youPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the comment. Yes it is a matter of principle and I don't mind going to court. :-)

Well, after some investigative work I found out the name of the management company and explained it all to them. They must have spoken to UKPC because this morning I received a letter telling me the parking charge had been cancelled. I should have read the FAQ first :-)4

Nicely rescued.
And one more thing:
We sincerely hope that you are au fait with the need to respond to the private parking draft Impact Assessment by mid-September?Or let me do a submission containing YOUR photo evidence please...You want to help us change the law?
To be clear, we are nearly there; it's not a petition or some weak campaign, it's a final push on a law already passed, to cap the £PCN levels and ban the fake DRA fees.
The Government has a Call for Evidence open right now.
We are wanting photos of unmanaged car parks, Hospital car park signs near you that show £50 or £60 as the deterrent, and Aldi, Asda, Tesco or Sainsburys £70 signs please.
All discussed here:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6463361/dluhc-private-parking-code-government-launches-call-for-evidence-discussion-thread/p6
We need photo evidence of low or no deterrent car parks near you, please!
NOT £100, NOT £90 or £80.
Signs for lower sums, or sites with no PPC.
