Hey, we are looking for an experienced solicitor to help us draft a will including a guardianship document. We don’t want someone sending us a plain vanilla 3-pager that we can download online, but rather someone who sits down and drafts all the required documentation for our children. Thanks a lot

Presumably then you want to do it in person, so you are best looking in your local area for solicitors and find one that deals with wills - you could try

We found ours via a link advertising the free wills month - something like this
Find a solicitor or Will writer – Remember A Charity

Go for a solicitor rather than a 'will writer' (the latter I suspect is more likely to do the 'vanilla 3-pager'). When we had ours done we were both sent documentation and a preliminary questionnaire to fill in to capture many of the details and then had a face-to-face meeting in which we went though all the possbile scenarios. We got sent the drafted will in the post and then went back in to her office sign the final copies.

Edit: Just noticed that this is on the insurance board - you might get more of a response if you ask for it to be moved over onto the 'Death, Funerals and Probate' board as the topic of making wills comes up there quite frequently.

We made the mistake of using Will Writers some years ago and the documents we got back were not what we had requested.  One example was that we simply requested mirror wills stating that everything went to the surviving spouse in the first instance.  The will received stated this would only happen if the surviving partner was still alive after 31 days!  At no time did we request that, nor did the will writers either raise it at the time or mention it when providing the wills.
