Capital Gains on Historic Investments

in Cutting tax
Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the best place to post, my question is about being able to work out any Capital Gains Tax due.
I have POA for a lady who has investments, some of which more recently have had to be sold to fund her care fees. This will be an ongoing requirement
The Capital Gain is the difference between the price paid, and the price sold. But I don't know what she paid for them as this predates any paperwork I have access to, and I think the original fund(s) were moved to different funds at some point. I have no idea when the investments were first made.
She uses Columbia Threadneedle, is this something I can expect them to help with?
Thanks in advance

The should provide you with a CG statement but that will usually be at the end of the tax year. Are none of her investments in an ISA?0

Hi,
Thanks, that's useful to know, I will look for that, some investments were sold during the previous tax year so that should already be available.
No, none of it is in ISA's at the moment0
