Decentralised MVHR

So these aren't really as good as a proper MVHR and I'd probably want a proper one for myself in the future anyway, but my parents for instance have a mid terraced house 

Could you essentially retrofit say this

And put it where a extractor fan used to be? Equally, could you have that installed AND have a proper MVHR, or would they fight with each other?

I don't see why not. Some need bigger diameter hole, but this one is 104 mm.
