WRAS Approved

We are getting a new bathroom and I've been reading about WRAS approval when it comes to brassware. The particular brand we like isn't WRAS approved but wondering if it matters or its a sign of poor quality etc? I know its not compulsory in our situation that they are WRAS approved as we are just replacing.

Using WRAS approved parts are generally of concern for taps and fittings used for potable water.
