WRAS Approved

We are getting a new bathroom and I've been reading about WRAS approval when it comes to brassware. The particular brand we like isn't WRAS approved but wondering if it matters or its a sign of poor quality etc? I know its not compulsory in our situation that they are WRAS approved as we are just replacing.
