It's the sign of the times

I visited my solicitor today to sign my will, hopefully it's my last visit. They have handled everything for me since 1962. Including 10 times moving home. I am older than anyone who works there, they all know and recognise me.

I still had to prove my ID, driving licence, proof of address council tax bill. They took copies of both,

Thats to me seems solicitors are not trusted by the powers that be.
