JISA Transfer

Hi all,
I have a JISA for my child with Tesco.
I have paid into that JISA in this tax year (10 April)
I would like to transfer this ISA to a better rate account elsewhere (CBS)
Questions
1) Am I allowed to transfer even though I have already paid into this during this tax year?
2) Assume yes to above, will I be able to pay into the new account during this tax year?
Thanks

Yes and yes - think you need to sort the transfer before paying into the new account though1

If your child is young then you should consider moving to a Stocks and Shares JISA, as over the longer term itshould grow more than cash savings, which tend not to keep up with inflation.
For example
Junior ISA | Invest in a Junior Stocks and Shares ISA | Fidelity
