My MOT is due in November. I have previous advisory that I hope it doesn't developed into major fault. I was thinking if I should get my MOT done this month. The lost of mot month is better than the mot failed repair cost.

The two item I think it is close to limit are the anti roll bar and the break disc.

The exhaust issue been there for a few years now. The crack tyre was due to lack of use during covid.

Other items in 2020 has not been on advisory since then, i would imagine it is not that serious.

Nov 2022
Front Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened (1.1.14 (a) (ii))
Offside Front Anti-roll bar ball joint has slight play (5.3.4 (a) (i))
Offside Front Tyre slightly damaged/cracking or perishing (5.2.3 (d) (ii))
Front Service brake fluctuating, but not excessively (1.2.1 (e))
Central Rear exhaust back box corroded

Nov 2021
Offside Front Anti-roll bar linkage ball joint has slight play (5.3.4 (a) (i))
Rear exhaust section deteriorating
Offside Front Tyre slightly damaged side wall (5.2.3 (d) (ii))

Apr 2020
Rear Coil spring corroded N/S and O/S (5.3.1 (b) (i))
Nearside Front Shock absorbers light misting of oil or has limited damping effect (5.3.2 (b))
Rear Exhaust silencer corroded
Oil leak, but not excessive (8.4.1 (a) (i))

Posts like this worry me. I hope you don't carry passengers at all when driving in this car. Your life and others is at risk if you drive around in a car which requires repairs to the core functions. For example brakes aren't something to not bother with.

Driving a could be dangerous car is even more stupid than coming onto a forum asking the best way to do it!

You know it’s July which is significantly before November? Not just next month.

So you want to get a MOT done sooner as this would allow you to drive around for the next year in a car that you feel will need repairing in November?
Or I am getting it fixed by knowing it is now a major failure in July rather than November

Makes no sense. What difference does failing now make compared to failing in November?

If you think it will fail due to needing repair just get it repaired

Just take it to a trusted garage that does MOT's and ask them to inspect the advisories and get the ones that require immediate attention fixed. No need for an actual MOT to be done.

I can only go by what you stated below, nothing about wanting to get any repairs done because of the safety issue,  just the cost issue.

That is my argument, no one know for certain. Yes I am looking after my pocket. But it can also be safety too, getting MOT done early.

Lets say the part need repairing in March next year. By getting mot passed in July means I will have failed part for 4 months(next March to next July) vs 8 months (next March to next nov)

I am not noticing any noise from the suspension nor brake.
