Dcb legal ltd

Hi, I received a private parking ticket in a private shopping car park and was issued a ticket by UkPC. I had ignored all requests and have received a claim form from DCB Legal Ltd for £290. What shall I do? Pay it now?

Do you mean a N1 from the Northampton CCBC?  What is the Date of Issue shown on it please?  Have you acknowledged service of the claim, if so on what date. Once we have that detail, forum regular @KeithP will be along to advise you on the first steps you need to take to defend the claim.

We do not recommend paying until a Judge instructs you to do so.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

If you want more detailed help, a little more info would help. Like when/where/why (i.e what is stated reason for PCN)? Did you appeal? etc

    Absolutely NOT.  Nonono!

This is when you will win because DCBLegal will discontinue. Easily defended and killed off. There won't even be a hearing.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Not sure what you mean by an N1 but it is from Northampton CCBC. It is a claim form and they have given me 14 day to respond. I have not contested it with the Car park owners.

Tell us the Date of Issue and if you've acknowledged the service of the Claim (AOS), if so on what date.

NO .... this is small claims court, They are already scamming you with a fake

IE: Your parking ticket would have been £100

They have added £35 for the court fee and £50 for solicitor costs

MAX £185.   They want £290 ... AND that includes interest which the majority of judges do not allow.  BUT included in that is a fake £60/£70 which they no doubt called damages ?
DAMAGES is a load of rubbish ?

As this is another UKPC rubbish claim, DCBL are now famous for this, more famous for wasting the courts time

HENCE ... they discontinue as seen here, 150 of them and still counting

DCB LEGAL RECORD OF PRIVATE PARKING COURT CLAIM DISCONTINUATIONS

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6377263/dcb-legal-record-of-private-parking-court-claim-discontinuations/p1

There is no doubt that the experienced members of this forum have created this tsunami of discontinuations ... with a lot more to come.

NO, YOU DO NOT PAY THEM ONE PENNY

No. But obviously you can't ignore it!

This is a serious stage and you need to do what we advise.  You'll get a CCJ if you fail to defend it.  But this is so easy to defend!

We know what we are doing and of course you won't be paying but you have MORE THAN 14 DAYS to defend.

We are trying to help you; please answer all questions.
