paying tax on pensions in payment

I am 72, I have a state pension and a personal pension in payment.  I am paying tax.  Is there a pension or investment I could contribute to, to enable me to get the tax back?

You can make contributions to a personal pension until you reach your 75th birthday and would get tax relief on those - but it would be added to your pension pot rather than refunded (unless you are a higher rate tax payer, in which case you could claim higher rate relief which is paid back to you).

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/venture-capital-schemes-tax-relief-for-investors might be of interest - but read carefully and be aware of the risks/how the tax reliefs are given.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
