Coloured paint for garden wall

I want to paint a colourful piece on my garden wall including my house number. Would acrylic paints be suitable? I need small quantities of a variety of colours which makes masonry paint impractical.

Depends what the wal is painted with as a base.
And how much sun it gets. It's likely to peal.
How many colours do you need?
A real good one is bedec all purpose paint. On my steps, garden furniture, metal gate, wooden gate but a small pot is around £10. It will last though on the wall and in the pot stored. Water based so easy.
You can get gold, silver, black and white metalic paint which lasts forever at £4 from hardware shops. Not water based so a bit of a trial but finish is good. I painted a gnome silver and my gate propper open frog gold.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

The other alternative is to get a tin of white, an assortment of artists acrylics, and tint your own after decanting the tin in to smaller containers. If you are feeling adventurous, lime wash the wall, and as it is drying, use the artists acrylics to paint your masterpiece.

You could use Acrylics, but would need to seal it in with something when finished - some sort of varnish. I think Freebear is spot on with the mixing colours into masonry paint - bear in mind the colours won't be as vibrant.1
