I have requested payment 3 times since 5th April, still no cheque or bank credit.
Anyone else had this problem with the online form for refunds under self assessment?

You may well be caught by this, repeatedly requesting a refund that is not automatically issued isn't going to solve things.

Webchat might be the simplest option.

Yes, I had this. Was resolved in a phone call, when we worked out the amount I was claiming was higher than I was entitled too (only marginally and I never worked out how the differential arose), but it was enough to delay the paymentI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Ask HMRC’s digital assistant to find information about Self Assessment. If the digital assistant cannot help you, you can chat live with an HMRC webchat adviser if they’re available.1 -
How can HMRC just close the helpline until 5 September? I know there are staff shortages, and they're busy, but it's not very good.0
