Deferred pensions

I have deferred taking my pension for 8 years. Is it safe?
If I die before I begin to draw it, will it become part of my estate?  The gov website only says that it may.

OP - if you read the link carefully, you'll see that it gives clear guidance, despite the use of the word 'may' ( you need to read that in the context of the information on the link).
