Which pension?

Hi all, I have a pension with the private healthcare company I work for but which has only just started. I also have a private pension which I am currently paying into at around £50 pcm. I have had a number of jobs over the years and fragmented pensions. 

I’m looking to take out another pension to boost what I fear will be a small overall return when I retire. I’m 60 in August so don’t have many years left. Any advice on which provider and how much should I try and save?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as this subject I find confusing and terrifying in equal measure.

You have a current workplace pension + other pensions from the past.
So what would be the point in opening another one?

Usually the easiest thing to do is to increase your contributions to your current workplace pension.
Plus you need to get on top of the details of all your old pensions and then work out the best thing to do.

However without having any details of your current or older pensions it is difficult comment in any detail.

Why do you need another one?  Why not use one of the existing or the current employer scheme (if the current employer scheme supports salary sacrifice, that will be the best option in terms of efficiency)
