Self assessment and HRT relief on pensions

    But you still need to include the contributions on your Self Assessment return as your tax code will just be allowing relief on a provisional basis, it's your tax return which finalises things.

    If you have a personal tax account on line, it is easy to go in and request a change of tax code during the year ( assuming you have a valid reason to do so like a significant change in pension contributions)
