    The exact wording was:

We’re happy to let you know that we’ve successfully resolved the claim you raised about the below VISA debit card transaction(s):

Before we started looking into your claim, we let you know that we had temporarily refunded you the amount of the transaction(s) to make sure you weren’t out of pocket while we carried out our investigation. If you had been charged any fees because of the payment(s) you’ve questioned, we also sent you a temporary refund for those. These refunds will now stay in your account.

We’re glad that we’ve been able to help in getting your money back.

I did think it was much quicker than I expected. But yes, I’ve flagged and saved the email just in case.

Just so you're aware:  (1) a successful chargeback doesn't necessarily prevent the seller from still pursuing you for payment outside the chargeback process; and (2) you still have to deal appropriately with the goods in question.  (ie they don't belong to you - yet)

If that was under 45 days from your refund. Then the retailer has just accepted the chargeback on the basis they are not going to contest.
As they simply do not bother, just go legal instead.

I have wondered if the fact they sent me a cancellation email, and didn’t return the money as they promised too, just made them wash their hands re. their sending the item anyway.

Which would be a highly unusual case for an overseas merchant... esp as they only sent the goods after the chargeback was settled
