Best Hotel in Jersey

It is my mum's 60th next year, and we have a few (very different) options for what to do for her. One possibility is a long weekend in Jersey.

As it is her 60th, price is not an issue. Can anyone recommend what they would consider to be the ultimate hotel in Jersey please? It does not have to be five star, I would rather stay in a three/ four star if the service/ general standards were going to be better.

Other options for her birthday are a cruise (not sure I could tolerate my parents in such an enclosed space, and the cost for a single room for me is extortionate!), or possibly Boston. But I'll post about them in the future!

Any ideas gratefully received! x

It was a long while back now but we stayed at the Pomme D'or Hotel in the centre, St Helier, lovely hotel in a central location. Only downside is car parking is a problem. If I was hiring or taking the car I would stay at St. Brelade Bay which isn't far from St Helier beautiful area but all of Jerseys lovely.
But if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
'Cos love is free and life is cheap As long as I've got me a place to sleep
Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more
  • There are dozens of great hotels in Jersey, it just depends on what you, personally, are looking for. The Pomme D'or is considered one of the best hotels, its central to St Helier, the beach and had great views. However, its not cheap and they rarely do deals. Have a look on Jersey.com, they have good deals and offers. Or try premier holidays.

The Atlantic, in St Peters near the airport is a top hotel. Also l'Horizon in St Brelade. Have stayed at both (when someone else was paying...)
  • We stayed in the Somerville Hotel a few weeks ago, v traditional, part of a small chain, v clean, nicely decorated, lovely polite and friendly staff and great food, overlooks a bay 5-10 mins from St Helier, would def go back again. I think we paid £120 per night for B&B but someone else there had got a great deal incl flights from travel agent (We went v late notice so no time for that)

the Pomme d'Or Hotel is part of seymour hotels
They sometimes have offers on their website
  • Ive been to Jersey twice this year and stayed at two really nice hotels.

The Pomme D'or which is central St Helier and the Hotel De France which I thought was nicer and is a much bigger hotel. Not too far from St Helier but free parking, swimming pool and spa centre. Food was really nice.
