Bad English?

Is it just me, or does this message I received on Ebay not make sense at all?

Sorry for the delay with despatch I have had an unbelievably busy Christmas rush. Your order will be delivered shortly despatched at present I am advising 5-10 working days for delivery. Your item will be delivered in the next couple of days and before Christmas the slight delay has been caused by the number of orders received over the last 2 weeks but your item will be delivered before Christmas.
My friend has been at the post office helping me out he was there all day 14th dec he went at 9.30 with all my sacks and was there all afternoon (13th) As of 17th I have no ebay items awaiting postage. So I am completely up to date with my despatches before the deadline for posting goods at the post office on Monday 17th Dec all orders placed and paid for before 9am Monday 17th will be despatched for delivery before Christmas.

I think what he's trying to say is:
I've got everything in the post.

However the phrase 'methinks (s)he doth protest too much' somehow came to mind...

Yes he seems to be throwing in every excuse possible to cover himself.
I only asked him when my item was sent out! (purchased it 10 days ago, so was going to open a dispute, as i have had no response to my last 2 emails... but I'll give him a chance.. it is xmas after all)
