TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “The Quiz That Gets Quicker – Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 x KISS Breakfast (the “Competition”).

 

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside  our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail. 

 

1.ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS	Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes:   Entries are restricted to one (1) entry per person.    Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes: Online at: https://planetradio.co.uk/kiss/competitions/   Online entry is free of charge.
2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	There will be one (1) group of four (4) individuals who will win the competition, they will receive the prize package as described in Prize 5.0.     2.1 THE ON AIR COMPETITION PRE-REGISTRATION   In order to win you must:   Pre-register online at https://planetradio.co.uk/kiss/competitions/. Anyone interested in taking part in this competition must register their details on the competition page accurately and agree to these terms and conditions. Entrants will need to list the names of three friends who would like to take part in the competition with them and confirm they are all available to play during the in-play week (Tuesday 2nd May – Friday 5th May 2023).   Registering to take part in this competition does not provide any guarantee that you will come on-air or win a prize.     2.2 SHORTLISTING AND BEING INVITED TO PLAY THE ON-AIR GAME:   Randomly selected semi-finalists will then be contacted by the production team on Friday 28th April 2023 and invited on-air to play during the week of promotion (Tuesday 2nd May – Friday 5th May 2023, between 7:00 (the “Start Time”) and 10:00 (“End Time). The semi-finalists should follow instructions given by the studio, in order to bring them to air and play the competition. A specific date and time will be given by the producers to the semi-finalist for the day they will be taking part. If any of the shortlisted entrants or their three friends cannot make the agreed date, they will all forfeit their chance to enter the next round and the production team will move on to another randomly selected entrant from the shortlist and repeat the process until they have found someone that can play in the on-air game.   Becoming a semi-finalist or finalist does not mean you are a winner, nor does it mean you will receive the prize, but you will have qualified for the next stage of the competition should you be available to participate when called by the production team.   2.3 THE COMPETITION: The Quiz That Gets Quicker   Once one group of contestants have randomly been selected, they will be invited on air to play The Quiz That Gets Quicker. Each day, a different member of the group will be selected to play. Each day, the presenter will ask the contestant 5 questions, and the contestant has a different amount of time to answer each one. For the first question, the contestant has 5 seconds to answer. For the second question, 4 seconds to answer. For the third question, 3 seconds to answer. For the fourth question, 2 seconds to answer, and for the fifth question, the contestant has just 1 second to answer.   2.4 HOW TO WIN   Throughout the week, the individuals scores will be added up. The group must collectively score over 15 points by the end of the week to win the prize outlined in Prize 5.0   In the event that by Friday the group have not achieved the minimum 15 points required to win the prize, then will be given a chance to risk it all on one (1) question. If the group get the question correct, they will win the prize outlined in Prize 5.0. If the group get the question wrong, they forfeit the prize.    The KISS Production Team reserve the right to pre-record any part of this competition with contestants before the 'as-live' broadcast   If the contestants win the prize and it is subsequently discovered that they do not fulfil these specific terms and conditions, nor the general competitions terms and condition, they will be disqualified. 3. ENTRY PERIOD	Pre-registration online must be made during the following entry period:   Between 00:01 on Wednesday 26th April (the “Start Time”) and 14:00 on Friday 28th April 2023 (“End Time”).   Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid.    All contestants must be available to play between Tuesday 2nd May and Friday 5th May 2023, between the hours of 7:00 (the “Start Time”) and 10:00 (“End Time). Exact timing will be confirmed by the producer.    Please note KISS reserves the right to remove the competition for any event such as a public holiday.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.  Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms. Anyone who has won a Bauer competition to the value of £500 or more within the past 6 months on any Bauer Radio Brand, will not be eligible to take part in this competition nor will anyone else at their address. If by any chance they get through to the phone lines – any prize they have been successful with will not be awarded. THE PRIZES	A TRIP TO ICELAND Prize package for 4 adults includes: Return flights from London to Reykjavik, Iceland Return airport transfers in Reykjavik 3 nights luxury (4*min) hotel accommodation in Reykjavik, based on sharing 2 x double rooms Daily breakfast  Golden Circle Day Trip with Kerid Volcanic Crater (Full day) Includes return transportation from meeting point in Reykjavik and professional guide Northern Lights Tour: (Approximately 3-5 hours) Includes return transportation from meeting point in Reykjavik and professional guide Travel insurance   TERMS & CONDITIONS:  Prize is for 4 adults;  The Recipients must travel at the same time with the same itinerary;  At least one traveller must be aged 18 or over; Anyone under 18 will require parent or guardian permission prior to travel;  Economy flights from major international airports in London only (inclusive of all applicable airport taxes, fees, and duties); Flights may be indirect and not all routings will be available; Flight itinerary will be selected by prize provider at their sole discretion;  A valid credit or debit card will be required for security deposit purposes when checking into accommodation;  Accommodation is based on four adults sharing two double occupancy rooms in Reykjavik, Iceland; Accommodation will be selected by the prize provider at their sole discretion;  Accommodation for the Recipients does not include any meals, incidentals, gratuities, or telephone calls. Any other personal expenses incurred during the trip will be the responsibility of the Recipients.  A credit card for incidentals will be requested by the accommodation at check-in and therefore at least one of the Recipients must possess and travel with a valid credit card; the prize excludes meals and drinks, excursions, attractions, treatments, visas, personal expenses and anything not expressly stated in the prize package;  All elements of the prize are subject to availability; If unavailable, experiences and items of a similar nature and value may be offered at prize provider’s discretion; Winners must contact prize provider with three preferred travel dates in three separate months no later than six weeks prior to departure;  Travel insurance is subject to restrictions and the terms and conditions of the insurance provider. 1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

1. MISCELLANEOUS. 

 

• Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 
• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call. 
• You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route. 
• We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition. 
• Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. Any prize already won may be withdrawn and re-awarded to another entrant.
• As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition or any element of the Prize.

 

We may cancel, end or suspend the Competition where we are required to do so in circumstances outside our control. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any stage during the Competition if such amendment is necessary to facilitate the administration of the Competition.
