UKPC Notice to Keeper ... 'Failure to Display Valid Permit' [Private Property]

A warm hello from Berkshire :)

I've just received two(!) Notice to Keeper (NTK) letters for parking at my gym - Issued by UKPC. I've used the same bay in the 'Private Property' multi-storey for well over 10 years. I always go on a weekday evening. This time round (in an effort to shed a few lbs) i went to the gym on two successive Saturdays, when it appears that there is a much stricter parking regime in place.

As a creature of habit, I didn't actually know that there were allocated bays in the car park. Apparently, those bays allocated for users of the gym do *not* require a permit. The bay I parked in (which, ironically, was only a couple of bays down from 'Gym' bays) was for a nursery that doesn't even open at weekends, but apparently gives parking permits (i presume to its staff members during the working week).

Scrolling through the 'Newbies' thread, I can't quite find a Sticky/Post-Thread that directly helps me in my planned Appeal. The "Don't reveal the driver" clause doesn't seem to help me on this. (i. I don't plan to reveal the driver, anyway, and ii) it could've been either me or my wife ... i can't remember.)

Can anyone point me in right direction in which to appeal this? I'm thinking more of: "This situation has been discussed a thousand times. Click on 'this link', and this will help". I'm sure there must be other Posts in the forum that are identical to mine ... but, for the life of me, I simply can't find them.

As an aside: POFA 2012 doesn't seem any help ... but non-compliant signage, and poor indication of which bays require permits, would seem to be my only hope of avoiding the 2 x £100 fines.

As always, any help or advice *gratefully* received :)

P.S. I did raise the issue at the gym, but there's nothing that they can do, apparently.

You could try contacting the nursery to see if they can cancel the PCNs

UKPC always have rubbish signs. If Plan A doesn't work, just use the blue template defence in the Newbies/FAQ thread for your Plan B. You'll still have Plans C & D if A & B don't work. We can almost guarantee that if it should get to Plan D, it will end in a discontinuation but you're a long way from that for now.

Keep referring back to the Newbies/FAQ throughout this process.
