Car Insurance Question

Hi there,
The MSE family have been so helpful over the past 24 hours helping with a dilemma with my Dad.
To cut a long story short, he’s 83 and in poor health and was still driving up until 8 months ago. He put me as a named driver on his insurance as my car was playing up. 

I’ve now sold my car and he wants to ‘loan’ me his car but stay as the owner in case he feels well enough to drive again and maintain his independence ( very unlikely).
What’s the best way to get round the insurance situation as I can’t find a definitive answer?

He can change the policy to have you as main driver and him as named driver.

You may be able to do it online. otherwise  he will need to phone them.

If  his policy states they will deal with anyone named on the policy ( mine does) then you could  speak to them.
